Drop shipping is a supply chain management technique in which the retailer does not keep goods in stock, but instead transfers customer orders and shipment details to either the manufacturer or a wholesaler, who then ships the goods directly to the customer. As in all retail businesses, the retailers make their profit on the difference between the wholesale and retail price.

1.Drop-shipping means your supplier (SOMAX CHINA) sends goods directly to your customers, but as far as your customers are concerned, they bought the products from you and they have no contact to SOMAX CHINA.


2.There are no additional charges. You can have as many shipping addresses as you like listed on your SOMAX CHINA account.We do not include SOMAX CHINA publicity materials / invoices etc when we send drop ship goods, so it protects your reputation as a seller. They will not know the true source of the goods, and they will not know the price you paid.


3.The prices shown on the shipping invoice will be different to what your customer paid you. However if your customer asks you can point out that these are values for customs declaration only. In any case a lower price declared helps reduce ad-valorem duty or sales taxes that your customer may have to pay when receiving imported goods in certain countries. Please check about importing / tax regulations before your start drop-ship selling, and always keep your customers informed.


4.If your customer has technical support issues, or wants to return a product, they will have to discuss this with you first because it’s your account with SOMAX CHINA. Please note that if there are import taxes to pay, you usually have to pay this when you receive the goods from the courier. So if you’re dropshipping, that’s your customers who may ’unexpectedly’ have to pay ’extra charges’.


5.Please note it’s your responsibility as the SOMAX CHINA buyer / dropship vendor to find out information about taxes and inform your customers. SOMAX CHINA accepts no responsibility whatsoever for providing tax information relevant to your country, although of course we will do whatever we can to help you minimize the tax burden if you have special packing/ declaration instructions.

Quick Guide To How To Start Drop-Shipping with SOMAX CHINA!

Well, that is kind of a big question, but we thought we could try to compress the concept into a few bullet points just to get your thinking started in the right direction!

Step 1: Sign up free for a SOMAX CHINA wholesale buyer account
Step 2: Research good products by comparing SOMAX CHINA’s products and prices with those available in your local market.
Step 3: To begin with choose ONE good product with good selling potential and order a sample of the product FOR YOURSELF to check the details for yourself and to create your own unique product description and product pictures.
Step 4: List the item on ebay / mercadolivre etc, or your online shop, or your newsletter, or in your local classifieds etc. Make sure your description is accurate and your customers have a realistic expectation of delivery times and possible import taxes they may have to pay on delivery.
Step 5: Once the item is bought, buy the item from us using the online shop and enter your customer’s address for the delivery. For dropship orders we won’t include our company details in the package. You need to provide your customer’s phone number in the order comments for the courier delivery.
Step 6: Once we give you the tracking details, pass on this information to your customer.
Step 7: After the goods arrive, provide any necessary customer support to your customers.
Step 8: Rinse and repeat!

How To Get Extra Drop-Shipping Discounts


If you are a new customer and want order a few samples, your will get a 5% cope for next time use. Regular SOMAX CHINA buyers will be able to take advantage of special discounts. Drop-Shipping with Somax China - Frequent Questions

Any registered Somax China member can drop-ship products directly from China to international customers.
The first time you try to do this there may be a delay while we contact you to check the order is authorised (anti fraud check). Somax China doesn’t offer a paid dropshipping service for re-branding packages and invoices.When dropshipping please use the online checkout comments box to add your customer’s phone number. This is necessary for the courier to use in case of delivery problems. It will not be used by Somax China.If you are dropshipping to Brazil you must add the recipient’s CPF number to the checkout comments box.

1. Do you have a minimum order quantity? Can I order one piece at a time?

No MOQ.You can order 1 piece at a time.

2. Can you ship to where?


Yes, we ship worldwide - anywhere served by the couriers DHL, FedEx, UPS, which is pretty much everywhere.Except: China mainland. We don’t ship within China because we are an export-only company in China.And also ... Paypal ’dropship’ orders to Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Benin, Cameroon, Indonesia, etc are liable to be instantly cancelled and refunded as likely frauds.


3. Is it OK to ship directly to my customers?

Yes. You can drop-ship simply by entering a new address in the shipping address field during the online checkout process. Do not add the shipping address to your order comments as that may be missed during our warehouse processing. You must change the shipping address for the order.You may, if you wish, enter your dropship customer’s address in the Paypal payment process, but this is not necessary.


4. If you ship to my customers can you also provide me with invoices?

You can download and print out invoices from your Somax China account online.


5. If you shipped directly to my customers could you guarantee that your packages and invoice would not identify your company?

Yes. When dropshipping the package we send does not have anything with Somax China on it, and neither do the products apart from a plain packing label. The invoice that MUST accompany ALL packages for customs reasons also will not be in the name of Somax China.


6. Would you be able to label the packages and invoice with my own company name / logo? If so would you charge an extra fee for this?

Currently this service is not available.
